I'm Not Afraid.

(credit to www.dubtunes.com for this photo)
I'm Not Afraid is Eminem's newest song. In many ways it's totally him but in other ways it is completely different. It has a more harmonious feel to it, with the same old Eminem edge.
I have listened to Eminem since I was younger. I remember my cousin secretly burning me two of his CD's and I had to hide them from my parents because I though t I would get in trouble. They just ended up getting scratched but I still listen to them every once in a while.
Eminem is another form of anger release for me. He seems to be so angry himself, and it makes me as the listener feel as though he knows what is happening to me. Although it sounds like his issues go way deeper than just a petty fight with mom.
This song really shows that he wants his fans to walk with him through their tough times. Put on his songs and get away. I love that about him. Even though some times he seems like an *** he also seems like a good guy deep deep down. I love Eminem, even if that makes me dumb.

Anger Management(:

So today is the perfect day for Linkin Park. Gives me a little bit of anger release and that is exactly what I need. There is no one song that really stands out for me today, just their first CD Hybrid Theory. Whenever I get sick of what life throws at me, I throw on Linkin Park and forget about it. Singing along to the lyrics makes things just a little bit better.
This song is playing right now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av0nzHe_hnc
I feel like I really do need a place for my head sometimes.
I do listen to them even when I am in a great mood. Especially in my car, although I do get angry in my car a lot....but that is not my fault, that is other stupid drivers fault and I can't help it(:
Anyways, to rap this blog up, listen to them and get in a better mood, listen to their lyrics and get a sense of why they are one of my favorites!

After all, they are my wonderwall.

This is Oasis. An English band with a British feel but they are soooooooo good. I had never heard of them until one day, I was sitting in my boyfriends P.O.S. Honda listening to music, and Wonderwall came whispering through his speakers. Since that day, Wonderwall has reminded me of him, and every time I hear those lyrics my heart smiles. It is one of the sweetest songs I have ever heard in my entire life.

...Sweet huh? Different songs remind me of different feelings. This song reminds me of love and how one should feel toward their significant other. The lyrics "and maybe, your gonna be the one that saves me, and after all, you're my wonderwall" mean a lot to me. Those are my favorite lyrics in that whole song. I think he's trying to say that no matter what, this person is going to try to better him, save him from his mistakes and be there in any circumstance. There are certain songs that make you feel different ways, this on makes me feel love(:

I need a Miracle!

(thanks to singeruniverse.com for the photo)
Cascada reminds me of the old me. My old friends. Old times. Things of that sort.
I remember being younger, being driven by parents to dances and blaring this song as loud as we could through car speakers and singing our hearts out.
"I need a miracle!!" we'd sing, the bass pumping the techno tune. Our parents would turn up the volume just so they couldn't hear our tone def lyrics.
I remember the taste of about three Redbulls on my tongue, the excitement of going to a dance pounding in my chest and for some reason I always hear
Cascada.
Even now, I'll catch myself being one-of-those-people at the stop light pretending to actually sound good, and singing so loud my voice cracks to Cascada.
She covers some soft rock songs, makes them into techno and changes the lyrics to match her femininity. She also has the ballads. She uses a piano instead of the beats and she has a beautiful voice.

Tech N9ne(:

(credit to www.rialtotheatre.com for this picture)

Tech N9ne has always been a part of my life, in the fact that my friends loved him since he's started. In fact, they were fans before he got too big.
I couldn't find a song appropriate enough to put on this blog, but just go to youtube and type in tech n9ne to hear some of his music.
Tech N9ne's new album K.O.D. is very dark and very meaningful lyrics wise. His music however, is just as bass-y as usual.
Some of his older songs are about having fun, letting loose and things along those lines, however his new album is about monsters and darkness getting a hold of him.
Some people say he is a devil worshiper, some say he is the devil himself, but he doesn't care what people say. He lets them say whatever because he believes that if someone is talking about him, he is gaining more recognition anyways.
He is one of the biggest independent rappers in the world. He is global. He also refuses to have a big record label sign him, but Strange Music, which he has created has kind of become his record label anyways. His friends have come to join his Strange Music crew, being featured on his songs and viewed in his videos.
Tech N9ne is definitely one of a kind. There is no one out there, even close to being like him.

Tom Petty in Wonderland.

(credit to www.darrenbarefoot.com for this picture)

As the rain is pouring down upon my house this morning... or afternoon, Tom Petty is again on my mind. For the past couple of days I have had a horrible migraine, and when I get these I can not listen to my Lil' Wayne, Gorilla Zoe or any other artists that have a lot of bass in their songs. So I listen to some calming Tom Petty songs.
Since the new Alice in Wonderland movie has just come out in theaters, I would like to bring attention to Tom Petty's version of Alice, from his video "Don't Come Around Here No More"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0JvF9vpqx8

I think this video is really cool and especially considering this was made a while ago before most or all of the other Alice in Wonderland references that surface in today's world.
Tom Petty's videos are very unique, very strange and very different as well. He has a vision of what he wants for his videos and he makes them happen.
Well I hope as a reader you got the taste of how epic Tom Petty is, or at least to me(:

So Fly(:

Gorilla Zoe has been my recent obsession. I adore his song "I Got It". It makes me feel very 'gangstahh' when I listen to it, especially in my car where the bass bumps super hard and I just feel pretty darn cool.
Although, I am not making myself sound very cool right now but at least in my car I can be whoever I want to.
I am one of those people you see jamming out to music at a stoplight. One could mostly find Gorilla Zoe blaring at that moment.
I'm sure other people can relate right?
Unfortunately Gorilla Zoe has broken one of my speakers and now I need some money to get a new one.
Thanks Gorilla Zoe, your awesome.

P Diddy huh?

(credit to google images for this photo)

This post is a little different than most. Today I'm going to discuss lyrics that do not necessarily change
or inspire my life but yet that leave me with unanswered questions.
The first line in Ke$ha's Tik Tok is "I wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy"
this makes me wonder... I have been asking my friends on facebook all week, 'what exactly does P Diddy feel like in the morning?'
I want to know if he feels tired, angry, awake or a completely different feeling that one might call 'P Diddy-ness'.
Every time I hear this line my mind goes crazy with ideas. Maybe some of my blogger buddies might be able to better answer these questions, or at least give me a little more input.
Ke$ha is not my most favorite of artists, but this song is extremely catchy and even though at first I tried very hard to not listen to it, I cannot help but sing along when it comes on the television.

Tom Petty- The lyrics that influence me the most

(credit to photobucket for this picture)
Tom Petty is my favorite singer/songwriter. He has been making music since the 80's and he is still putting out Cd's today. One of his first albums, Wildflowers is absolutely beautiful. The first single off this album, also called Wildflowers is a song I've been listening to since I was about four years old. The song is about a love interest, he begins saying "You belong among the wildflowers, you belong in a boat out at sea" He explains throughout the whole song his wish that she be happy and free. He wishes for her to be in a field of wild flowers and just be one with them. Maybe this girl is a hippie, maybe she's just as beautiful as a flower, happily blowing in the breeze and letting the sun warm her. Only Tom knows what he truely meant, but one can definitely think of the possibilities.
Tom Petty is not the average 'beautiful singer' he is not a big 'hottie' but he becomes that through his lyrics. He turns a honey bee into something seductive. Anyone with lyrical power such as that must have a mind full of ideas. I will most likely be talking about him in other posts because he is a HUGE influence in my life. Every time I feel sad I turn to his music and it just ends up making me feel nostalgic, sing along and smile(:

Introduction to the lyrics that effect my life

(credit to google images for this picture)
This blog is going to be all about lyrics that effect my life.
I have a picture of Lil Wayne on this post because I happen to have a line of his song stuck in my head. "I..I..I..Imma need counselin, i lost my mind and still haven't found it" This is from his song Lost with Gorilla Zoe. These lyrics are very personal to me. I feel like i have lost my mind too sometimes, and sometimes I feel like I can not get it back for the life of me. Lil Wayne is who you can find blaring through the speakers in my car. I feel as though he is real, and he talks about very controversial issues. Along with his meaningful lyrics he also has lyrics in which he expresses his confidence in himself. Whenever I am down on myself, I throw on some Lil Wane such as Got Money, I love the part that goes "cause ***** I'm the bomb like Tick Tick" It shows his confidence in himself as well as his humor. I love that!
